Last Wendsday I did my first interview and it turned out to be pretty good. I was very nervous at first but as soon as i started asking questions i felt a little better and relived.

I went to a bookstore in 112 street called Bank Street Bookstore. I interviewed the assistant manager and she was very friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and i felt real good during the interview.

i guess it wasnt that bad after all...

Help Out With The BoyCott

Hey EveryOne from Harlem Live, It has been really long time since I been here, But I came in today and ready to do work. I finished my editoral on my opioions about Abortions so hopefully that will be posted up soon. I am currently working on a story about the Stella Doro Strikers. They are a group of mostly women boycotting the factory they work in located on 237th and Broadway because they are asking for a better contract and better wages that are not being given to them. So in support of the strikers don't buy Stella Doro Products such as the breadsticks and cookies.

Busy day...

Wowzers today was such a busy day.... In school we took a mock regents which was the second of two days and wrote 4 essays. I am extra tired and stressed... Jaanais is back (Yaaaaa)  so we both scheduled an interview for women not receiving the money that they feel they deserve.  I also tried to search for an additional story for myself that way I can have another story before I leave which would be in about a few weeks. It's been hard since not that many organizations are available. Real Regents are coming up soon so I've been studying hard like crazy. Also we have SATs THIS SATURDAY!!! I cannot wait until this school year is done because honestly I feel that the 11th grade is the worst.  I really don't mean to complain but I really need a break. I want to end this year in  a bang (knowing my school I don't think that is going to happen). Anyways I got to go and get back to work...

Senior trip to a park for a whole day ? I thought it was going to be wack at first and didnt really want to go to it. But then again why miss the change to experience a whole day with all the seniors and try to have fun. At first i was upset because it was cold in the morning and i had to wait in front of my school for a pretty long time. The ride to the park wasnt that long as i had expected it to be. When we got to the park i knew it wasnt going to be that bad because the park was big and they had a baseball field. That was the first thing that atractted me because i love paying softball and i hadnt played for a long time. First i ate breakfast and it was playing time played some baseball and then WATERRRRR time.. I didnt bring no water gun ot water ballons but i got some water ballons for my friend and my water funs were 2 cups lol. I had fun playing with water. Maybe sound childish but fun. When you chase after your teacher for about 15 seconds and then he falls.. o00 man...lol Then i played baseball until 1 that was lunch time. I ate 3 hot dogs ..yummyyyyy. Then it was palying time again, played baseball then kickball, futball(but cant trow the ball =( )and finally i just layed down with my friend.UGHH then it was picture time. The End .... Later on i saw that i had a sun run and my ankle was swallen was hell. Didnt go to school next day; my whole body was in pain and i had to get something for prom. =) Ok now The End..

Today Im suppose to be covering a story at a bookstore around 5pm but i dont think thats going to happen, maybe tomorrow i will be able to go.

Its raining today and this weather makes me want to stay home watch a lifetime movie and eat! Im so tired and wish I was sleeping. Today, school was pretty boring. Im just excited that school is over, but not excited that regents is coming up soon. i have to take the earth science, geometry and probably im going to take the english regents again. i dont want to take the english regents again because its a two day regent but i didnt like my 72 score so probably i can at least get an 80.  i have projects due soon and i havent really started it so im not excited to do that. 

i just want school to be over, im looking forward to junior year...

Happy/sad day

These last few days has been real coco bananas its been alot of ups and alot of downs..

But I'm ok with the turn out of how everything is gonna be 

But the rest of the week should be a blast got the senior trip part 2 tomorrow and part 3 on da 6 and the 5th is the carnival yay..i love my school.

Today Me, Dariel and our new Hl member went out on a story to discus the swine flu epidemic with the local Harlemites. It was interesting to listen to peoples views on this recent "Hot Topic".I've been feeling a little ill today but don't worry it's probabley because the last few have been abit hectic with all of our freinds and family from england visiting us with us. It's almost the end of the school year, "duh", and i'd like to give a shout out to all my fellow eighth graders who are hoping to graduate this year. I'm just trying to sit it out for these last few weeeks and hope i can pick up a few regents early.

 Peanut the chihuahua is adorable to me. His cute tiny growl. To Sunny he is vicious scary as hell. As adorable as he is he barks at some people. Fortunately he likes me. I just like him so much hes adorable.

Well tomorrow I was supposed to be going to six flags. It would have been fun but I have an event to go to and I promised people I would go, so I am. Plus It was a friends post birthday event and he invited me. I known about it for like a month and I the woman for the event called me a little later than that, but I don't want to turn someone down, just because of that. *Sigh* Still would have been nice though. Anyways. I emailed more people for stories. Point sheets being collected guys!!!. I have to review the questions, so I don't look stupid up there. Hopefully all turns out well.

DEFINITELY A RECESSION

IT'S DEFINITELY A RECESSION GOING ON. I'M BROKER THAN BROKE RIGHT NOW AND THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF MY BROKENESS AND THIS REALLY SUCKS MAJOR A-DOUBLE SNAKES. LMAO. BETWEEN PROM, GRADUATION, SENIOR EXPENSES, AND COLLEGE I'M ABOUT TO KILL MYSELF. BEING A SENIOR REALLY IS BEGINNING TO SUCK. YOU SLOWLY REALIZE THAT YOUR GETTING OLDER AND OLDER THEN AFTER THAT YOU GET PUT INTO SO MUCH DEBT ALWAYS HAVING TO PAY FOR STUFF THAT IT CROSSES OUT EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S FUN ABOUT BEING A SENIOR AHHHHH MAN! I STILL REMEMBER FRESHMAN YEAR LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. THINKING ABOUT MY HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES I THINK THE END OF SOPHOMORE YEAR AND JUNIOR YEAR WERE THE BEST YEARS AND THE BEST OF TIMES FOR ME. BUT ANYWAY BACK TO THE PRESENT TIME...PROM IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER IM SCARED. IT BETTER BE NICE ALL THIS MONEY I HAD TO SPEND. SMH. I GOT MY DRESS AND SHOES NEXT STOP IS MY HAIR. I HAVE AN IDEA AND SOME PICTURES OF WHAT I WANT TO DO TO IT BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW OR HAVE A FINAL DECISION YET...I STILL HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF TIME AT LEAST. ANYWAY I HAVE TO GO RETYPE AND REDO AKA EDIT MY STORY SO SMOOCHIES LOL.

Prom is coming up!

June 3rd would be the big day when i get to party and have fun with my friends. I can't wait specially because this means that there would be less days to attend school and that soon ill be out of high school. So i got my prom dress but i think i am getting some other heels because i want white ones. i also need to get a type of crown thing so i could attach my girl with. Idk if i should go to an after party or maybe go to dinner with my friends. But i think i am to do that for graduation so i should just go to an after party but maybe ill be too tired to do it. Cant wait till prom and hope that everyone has fun.! :D

Moneyy!!!!!!

Omg when I got home I found out that I got $2000 from my godfather. You know how happy Iwas?. I'm getting more after graduation from him...Its almost over. Those four long yet short years are almost to an end. I can't believe it. Wow. I presented my project. I was nervous, but those public speaking classes helped lol. I made rice balls. Its sticky japanese rice made into a ball wrapped with seaweed. anyways... I have to go to a panel this saturday at hunter college. Hope it turns out ok. A woman also emailed me back for a story. artHarlem is the name of the org. I got this really cute bag at H&M. love it already. Also got some capris. Also cute.

Dis weekend

This last week has been good and bad memorial day weekend was the best i got dumb drunk with my besties all of them it was crazy then we went to a party with the Murdock boys it was wacko because we was the only girls there so we was the party smh. After the party we ended up at Michelle house idk how. We didn't get home until the next morning around 10 ma moms was piss smh lmao. I didn't get to the Bronx until 5pm on Monday.

Tuesday was my "Senior Trip" (even tho I'm not finish until next year) we went to some camp were upstate it was fun.We had to get over our fear of heights since most of us are scared of heights. They broke us up into 7 groups were we had to compete against each other but it really wasn't a competition.We had to climb 30 feet in the air and either jump off and hit the ball or walk on a rope or a log it was fun. But nothing compares to the bus ride it was fun.

Wednesday was OK i stayed home because i was sick throwing up and all ....i Had no 1 to take care of me ma bf was MIA,ma bro swore i had swine and Q was not coming to the Bronx

Today had to be the worse day of the week i HATE DUMB FEMALES who don't know how to fall back and leave me be.Like ahhhh She's annoying like I want to go back to the way i was b4 n break her face but I'm older and more mature so i got to relax but she's taking to the point we the whole team in now involve....so its out of my hands 

The people here is very outgoing and laid back. Today which is my first day I walked over here with my friend Branday, so it was easy to get here. this place seems very roomy. 

My day in school was okay. Im very sick today so i dont feel good. I have a fever, cold and a migrane.

I cant wait to start reporting because it would be very fun and i will get to learn many new skills for the future.

Back to Hl but still sick !!!

So i went to school on Friday and i was  really really cold and felt like i was  dying from a  fever that later on i found out was 109. When i got home about 1130 i went right to bed and my mother  gave me some soup so i could take  some pills for my pain and for my fever. That day i took 4 cold showers so my fever could go down. So around like 11 in the night my fever went down and i was feeling much better.  I was  sick the whole weekend and didnt really go out. SUCKS ! b/c it was really nice outside. Then on Tuesday when i was  getting to go to school i got this really bad stomach ache and didnt go to school. Finally today i was feeling much better then went to skool and then came  to Hl. I am kind of  glad that i am feeling better now because it sucks been sick specailly  when school is  about to be  over...

Onigiri

Hello everyone. Its been a few days. I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. I know I did. I stayed up, pulling all-nighters, playing resident evil 4. It was great. I did not feel like going outside. It was hot outside, plus I got lazy. My house was burning like crazy. It was horrible. I was sweating a lot. Stupid broken AC. My dress fit well, just needed to get it hemmed up because It was a little too long. I can't wit for prom. Exactly one more week. Speaking of that, my Ap teacher is being a real bi*** about a project thats due the day of prom. Can't turn it in late, and its worth 100 points. That same day, we have group work we need to do, and If we are absent, we lose points for the day. Smh. Whatever Im still not going. I'm just gonna turn it in early. My godfather gave me some $$, and That will really help for the 3rd. I also made a rice ball yesterday. Its Onigiri. It was yummy. Im not a fan on sardines, but that really was good. It was a little too salty, since the seaweed its wrapped in is salted. I can just wrap the rice in the seaweed so I won' t get that much of a headache. I have to teach how to make those to my Ap class tomorrow. I hope they like it. I don't want to waste my time making a lot of rice and bringing a lot of containers for the stuff. Weekend!!

OMG this weekend was so cool because it was long and i had time to sleep. Also i had time to spend with my family that i have not seen in many days. Also my headphones broke this weekend i i was soo mad because i cant live without my music,literally my whole day will ruin if i dont listen to music. i also cannot ride the train whithout my music on because i hate to hear people talking,it just drives me crazy. Afterall my weekend was cool, i went out for dinner, i chill with my friends and best of all i was not in school and i was sleeping during the day and OUT during night!!

Terrible..not so sweet 16

Ok, so Seli can even vouch for this. I was asking everyone where I could buy a dress for a sweet 16. My friend (who I'll keep anonymous) had a sweet 16. She invited me, so I vowed to go. I spent 125 dollars on a dress and bought her a $50 giftcard and flowers. It was terrible! It was 30 people there in total, not 30 kids. On top of that, the food was awful. They served rice and baked ziti. That doesn't even go together. I was STARVING. I went to the chinese restaurant to buy chicken to go with the rice. I was so disappointed.  Some swetet 16...how bout terrible.....
