Morning time

This morning was very hectic my baby sister had me running around. She wanted to watch Curious George and Clifford was on.  My baby sister name is Jessica but everybody calls her Jessi. She was screaming at me, and i had gave her some cookies then i got ready for work at HL.  

1st day of summer youth

Yesterday was fun but hot and humid day. The team i have is kool its Kendra, Justin,Nick,Kiara,Lucy,Italie and me. We went all over the world in the rain it was nasty. We got alot accomplished in just 6 hrs. It was nice to meet the new members they are funny and goofy sometimes but when it came down to it they did they had to do to get the job done.We split up some did harlem while others did the east village.

Now Kendra and I are getting everything together for the conclusion of the Hunt!!! 

Today is a hectic day. Im so tired and my best friend wants to play around. I have alot of stuff to do today and some of it will not get done because it aint possible.

we ALL lost the Scavebger Hunt!!!!

OMG! When I first got here, I was rushed out to participate in the annual scavenger hunt. This was my first time unfortunately, although I've been apart of HL for 2 years but never did the scavenger hunt. It was crazy. I split my team up in 3 teams that surfaced entire NYC. Carlos and DD did everything in Harlem... Zinu and I did our part in Soho and Branday and Brittany did their part in Times Square. Nydera stayed at HL to complete everything in the office. It was a pretty good set up.

However, because of lateness, we were disqualified and lost. I think it was unfiar that Richae's team won because theyh came later than us. HOwever, when I asked Shelise how was the winner decided, she said based on punctuality. Richae's team came later than us, but because of circumstances, they won. Circumstances should not matter, because we had trials that prevented us from being on time. We didn't make excuses.

Secondly, I don't think it was okay that Richae and Kendra caught a ride with Kevin, who was one of the judges. But I mean, it's over. I just think that no one should have won if punctuality was a priority. Because techinally we all lost! Good experience tho....

Today i was in a scavenger hunt on a larger scael and searched for stuff all over manhatten . we walk so much it was like walking through hell. we had gotten rain on like 3 times and we got lost twice.

Today was definitely an adventure. Although kind of fun, it was quite tiresome. At some point I wish I wasn't even there but it taught me lot about my city. Certain areas I had never even seen before. Overall though it was pretty fun. I like the fact that we were given a task like this because it allowed us all to come together to accomplish a task that we all felt like taking a break from. At the end of the day however, we did what we had to do to the best of our abilities and completed our task, thanks HarlemLIVE.

The HUnt

Wow, that was a very LONNNNNNNNNNG scavenger hunt !!!!

At first when giselly gave my group the paper of all the things we need to accomplish today, i was thinking to my head 'OHH MY GODDD', i thought we were not going to get it done.

So, me and a team member Margarita went to 125th and was going to the restuarnants, Apollo Theater and MOREE, it was pouring outside and it was hard!

So, then me and Darcia was doing moree things, and my feet was killing me.

After that, me, Darcia and Margarita went downtown. It was such a looooongggggg ride on the train. we went to 14th street and walked to Astro PLace. it was such a journey today.

So by 6:30 my teamates and i got to HarlemLIVE and we were very relived.

This scavenger hunt was pretty fun !

MRS. HIGH SCHOOL GRAUDUATE IS BACK!

Hey harlemlive blogg readers. My name is Italie lewis and today was my first day at harlemlive. I recently resigned from HarlemLive because of personal issues but im back in business and my first day here was FANTASTIC.  I met  couple of new people that i really enjy spending 6hrs a day with. I went on the most interesting scavenger hunt with  LousiMary and i enjoyed my time with her. I got to share somethings with her and actually learned that a 15year old female been in tons of country then i have and i'm only 20. Weird Right? But anyway. My first day back at harlemlive was fantastic and i cant wait for many many many more fun moments here. I LOVE YOU HARLEMLIVE.

yayay so were doing the scavenger hunt and im really excited cux my team is going to go hard we either go hard or go home ! its really tiring but the ppl in harlem like the buisnnesees and stuff gave us no promblem.

first day

kkk so todaii was the first daii and the people was really coool the staff was funny and kept me interesting and everything. i am very tired and is in desperate need of a SPA treatment or realaxation .. i cant belive this i sound like a 80 yr old woman and its my first day at work !
ohh mann welll im out to sleep. todaii was fun tho

First Day w/ Newbies...

Today was the first day for the new kids. We had a few ice breakers and the kids are cool, for the most part. I actually have to go now... my cousins are performing at the Apollo....

MAN I CANT BELIEVE THAT MICHAEL JACKSON DIED. I THINK I WILL BE WATCHING HIS VIDEOS AND ALSO LISTENING TO HIS SONGS. I WILL TRULY MISS HIM. M.J IS THE KING OF POP. I JUST CANT BELIEVE IT AT ALL AS I WRITE I AM LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC. 

First Day Of The Summer Program

I just got in from my third day at Columbia's summer law institute. It's brilliant but it's hard work at the same time. The mornings usually start with a guest speaker, today's speaker being a defense attorney who's most recent work has been representing detainees at Guantanamo bay. His talk was kind of intense but incredibly interesting. The morning session is to do with "Criminal Justice theory and practice" with Mr Deets, then after lunch we delve further into the "Criminal Trails" aspect of the law with Mr Zarkovsky. Our coordinators are both law students at Columbia Law School. On Tuesday's we do workshops with Miss Mayani the intern, yesterdays was all about study skills. We'll be going on trips most Friday's, one of which will be to the United Nations HQ. I'm hoping to get into their college bound program which is great for getting scholarships and keeping your grades up in High School.

When I got in none of the summer students were here but they will be next week so I'm really looking forward to meeting them. I'm kind of mad that I won't be here more often in the first four weeks of summer but I'll try my best to earn tons of points for my team when I am here.

HarlemLIVE, for the first day was actually enjoyable. The icebreakers were a success. Usually when i play those kind of games in a new environment the participants, don't want to participate, and that gets on my nerves. I hope to come back again and have a good time doing what i like to do

Today was my first day of actual work it was so fun i me a lot of new people that i never reallytalked to. We had ice breakers to get to meet the new people but i am happy that I got paid for meeting new people

Yesterday, me and 3 other girls from HarlemLIVE went to 45th street to a women workshop and we met Mary. J Blige. It was very fun because we got to ask her questions and get to know her more
