July 1 2008 marked my first day at Harlem Live. I was the first one to arrive. A first I was a bit skeptical because of the small basement, however do not judge a book by its cover because that small basement contained state of the art technology. In retrospect the day was a bit tiresome because of the walking and activities. I must say this is going to be a huge responsibility for me because this is my first job. In the past years my "job" was school. I graduated from Xavier High Schoo1 June 12. After that day I became an alumni. Graduating is one of my greatest accomplishments so far. As a result, I became lax. My day consisted of Lying around not doing much then going to the gym, playing tennis, or playing basketball. Each day felt like dejavu. Like anything in life after awhile things become routine. I have to admit after yesterday I was not sure if I was made for this program. I understand that it is a very intense program and that I must give my all. I do not like to waste people's time, because like the expression: time is money. I believe coming back today shows a lot. It means i have but away my doubts and accepted the HL challenge. I hope to gain more skills and lasting friendships through this experience.
