So my first lesson of the day was with Katie on interviewing. It was pretty short but we got all the basics regarding the conduct and context of an interview. I learned that it is not good to ask loaded questions like, "Did you end your affair with your secretary yet, Mr. President?" Questions like those are not good because they can a) offend your subject and b) assume. I probably have asked a loaded question or two during investigative reports so I'm glad I learned that. The notes and the printout was helpful and good to have on hand. But overall, the lesson just reiterated things I've learned in a previous journalism class. But it's always good to refresh:)
